Rest Day

Well after yesterday this was a much needed rest day. Not only did the riders need it, I needed it. Just to much excitement in such a short period of time. All right I feel very sorry for Michael Rogers. He has such a tough day. Rogers had been riding with Rasmussen until he over shot that left handed turn and crashed into the guard rail which also sent another rider straight over it. This left Rogers injured and his pace suffered greatly. Final trying to ride through the pain he stopped. He was unable to move his right arm. The injury appeared to be in the shoulder area thus leading me to think he has suffered a broken collarbone. Even though some riders struggled other just dominated that stage... mainly Michael Rasmussen. He turned on the juice and just absolutely dominated. He didn't show any weakness until he reached the 10 kilometer mark when his pace started to slow a little. But he still beat, the late run, of Iban Mayo by a full two minutes and some change. Then Levi was struck with the penalty due to his method of returning to the peloton when his chain came loose and messed his rear derailleur up. Tomorrows stage 9 looks like is gonna be just as exciting as the previous' day was.
